The organizers invite undergraduates, graduate students and young scholars to participate in the conference, which will treat the following topics:

• Jews and surrounding communities in the urban space
• Modern ideology and Eastern European Jewry
• Jewish tradition and modern culture
• Jews of Eastern Europe in the 20-th century
• The Holocaust in Eastern Europe
• Jewish Heritage : Memory and Representation

Those wishing to attend the conference are to send the following by June 22, 2015 to ethnickh@gmail.com:

• CV
• Short proposal (no more than 300 words)
• Motivation letter

Accommodation and meals for participants are provided by the organizers. If it is necessary, the organizers may provide grants for participants which to partially cover travel expenses. Please inform the organizers if you need such a grant in the application.
