Association for Jewish Studies 46th Annual Conference

The Association for Jewish Studies (AJS) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the AJS 46th Annual Conference, to be held December 14-16, 2014 at the Hilton Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland.  The AJS Conference is the largest annual gathering of Jewish Studies scholars worldwide, with more than 170 sessions on the latest research in Jewish Studies, an exhibit of major publishers, professional development and digital humanities workshops, cultural events, receptions, and more.

Proposal submission deadline: Wednesday, May 7, 2014

* a Sessions Seeking Participants web page to facilitate the organization of session proposals * sample abstracts, and articles on the craft of conferencing * hotel, meal, and conference registration details * information on travel grant opportunities.

Those submitting proposals are strongly encouraged to consider the full range of session formats in crafting their proposals. In addition to the traditional panel format, the AJS Conference includes a host of other session types including seminars, roundtables, a digital humanities workshop, "flipped" panels, and lightning sessions.
