"The Centre for Studies of the Culture and History of East European Jews is an academic and social institution established 2 July 2004. We aim at exploring the heritage of Jewish nation communities in Lithuania and neighbour countries and encouraging the knowledge about it and in this way contributing to the creation of good national relations.
The founders of the institution consider that the research of community heritage of the Jewish nation that once thrived in the Lithuania’s territory is a significant task for a modern Lithuania – only this way can the loss of the complicated last century be recorded.
One of the key objectives of the Centre for Studies of the Culture and History of East European Jews is the assistance to the students that explore the subject and scholarship allocation for promising scientists.
